March Chapter Meeting - One Big Happy Remote Team

Wednesday, March 24, 2021 -
4:00pm to 5:30pm

Overview and Learning Objectives

Once upon a time there was a software development team. Every day they worked remotely. One day they committed to implementing agile principles and values even though their team size and locations were not what most would hope for when implementing agile practices. Because of that, many new team processes were implemented. Because of that, the team experimented often and continually adapted their approach/methodology. Until finally the team that has only seen each other on video became one team. During this session Kupe will talk about how you can work with your team to implement business analysis practices when all the people you need to interact with are not in the same room. You will walk away with ideas you and your team can use to improve your efficiency and effectiveness by building and adapting your approach.

Session Objectives
• Learn how it all starts with One Team
• See how you can adapt many practices when your team does not seem like you can use adaptive approaches
• Experience key take-aways to implement with your team

My ambition is to make everyone more awesome. I believe everyone is unique and has their own flavor of awesomeness. I earned a college degree in Accounting. Although I did not feel a rush during my accounting classes, I felt it was important to use my degree when I went into the workforce. I even attempted the CPA, Certified Public Accountant, exam. After failing that miserably, I decided a long-term accounting career was not a great plan. While trying to figure out my next move I wanted to use my creative side and took a stab at Stand-up Comedy. I failed at that in a similar fashion to the CPA exam. After some auditions, I joined an Improvisation comedy troupe and performed in the Atlanta area for a decade. I also made a move into an IT, Information Technology, career as a business analyst and project manager.

So here I am now, an author, speaker, and coach with the main objective to make you more awesome through helping you connect, collaborate, and be ready for the future.
