January BA Leader Meeting - Building Great Facilitators

Wednesday, January 24, 2018 -
4:00pm to 5:30pm

Overview and Learning Objectives

Your employee is attending training and you want them to be great at their new skill. We send people to be trained so they can improve a much-needed skill. Training by itself is only 20% effective. To effectively master a new skill, we need to address skill development, hill removal, and will of the employee to master the new skill. Improve their likelihood of mastering the new skill by effective coaching and reinforcement.

In this discussion, you will learn the principles of coaching a new skill to the level of competence. We will focus on the Facilitation skill of developing a Purpose Statement. We will discuss the practical ways to assure your facilitator is demonstrating the new skill, the process for removing hills, and specific ways to address the will of your team member in mastering their new skill.

Learning Objectives:
1. To be able to discuss the development responsibility of the Coach of a Facilitator
2. To be able to demonstrate how to develop a Coach of a Facilitator on use of a purpose statement
3. To be able to self-assess skills in coaching development of a facilitator

Please Note: The BA Leader meeting is followed by a Chapter meeting which is free with your BA Leadership meeting registration.  If you plan to attend the Chapter meeting, please be sure to include the Chapter meeting registration in your checkout.  The coupon code for the free admission to the Chapter meeting with a BA Leadership registration is "20180124BALEADER".  Please enter this coupon at the time of checkout and your Chapter meeting fee will be waived.
