Board of Directors
As President, Angie Buchholz serves the role as chief executive officer for the Chapter and the Board. She is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Chapter and for ensuring that the Board collectively contributes to the achievement of that strategy. In addition, she plays a key role in promoting the purpose of the IIBA® to the community, developing alliances with other complementary organizations, and ensuring the long-term viability and sustainability of the Chapter. The President is a principal officer, the Chapter's chief executive officer and serves as chairperson to the Board of Directors.
Angie is a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Thrivent Financial and currently supports the General Counsel’s Office. Angie has 8+ years of experience in the Business Analysis field including leading and managing large and small project, implementation of Business analysis process improvements, and holds a Green Belt in Continuous Improvement. Angie has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management and carries a Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance license with the State of Wisconsin.
Angie enjoys spending time with her family; Downhill skiing, water skiing, spending time on the water (when the Wisconsin winters let up), and spending time boating.
As President-Elect, Chris Petersen is responsible for the development and maintenance of a Chapter membership plan that assures continued growth through recruiting and partnering with major community employers. This position is also responsible for proactive solicitation and acquisition of sponsorship support in various forms, including financial, facilities and supplies.
Chris Petersen is a Business Analyst Consultant with a vision to build a consulting practice in the Fox Valley. He is dedicated to support the development of business analyst best practices for organizations and the business analyst professional. This drives his passion to continuously improve the methods of business analyst engagement on projects with a focus on delivering tangible value over perceived value.
He joined the IIBA and the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter because of the vast amount of resources available through online materials, education opportunities, chapter activities and especially the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals.
Chris and Amanda (wife) enjoy hiking and long car rides. Both are heavily engaged with American Legion Post 38, a veterans service organization.
VP of Administration
As the VP of Administration, Bryan Moran is responsible for maintaining accurate records of chapter activities, business, and is the primary custodian of official chapter documents. Among other activities he is responsible for ensuring that accurate and sufficient documentation exists to meet legal requirements, and to enable authorized persons to determine when, how, and by whom the Board's business was conducted.
VP of Events
As the VP of Events, Tim Lenz is responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of the Chapter programs. This includes developing programs for the Chapters bimonthly meetings, securing program speakers as well as scheduling meeting locations and dinners.
Tim is a Business Analyst at Thrivent Financial in the Product Support Services area. Tim has over 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst working on a wide variety of projects. Previously, Tim worked as a Technical Director at Christ The Rock Community Church for 6+ years. Prior to that, Tim was a Business Analyst for 10 years at ACNielsen and then spent 2 years as a Project Manager at ACNielsen, all the time working on a wide range of medium to large projects. Tim holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, downhill skiing, painting and volunteering.
VP of Education and Certification
As VP of Education & Certification, Dmitri Martin is responsible for the chapter's educational and professional development programs designed to increase the competence of the business analysis community, as well as promote and educate the membership on the IIBA’s business analysis certifications. This position is also responsible for promoting business analysis and developing business analysis skills at the chapter level by securing qualified speakers to deliver educational topics and programs at meetings, events, seminars, and workshops.
Dmitri has applied analysis techniques, project management experience, and computer programing skills across a number of domains. Most recently, during his campaign for State Assembly but also over the last twelve years as owner of GreenStar Developments which provided energy analysis services and managed construction projects. Dmitri holds a Bachlor's of Science a degree in Psychology and is currently working on his own IIBA certification.
Dmitri enjoys going camping with his family, attending music festivals, being involved in the community, and reading about technology and the environment.
VP of Finance
As the VP of Finance, Cheri Schettl, CPA, is charged with the stewardship of the Chapter's finances and the management and reporting of the Chapter's financial position. She keeps the board of directors informed of key financial events, trends and issues in addition to ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory reporting.
Cheri is a Senior Business Analyst at UnitedHealth Group. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group in 2012, she worked at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for twenty one years; nine years as a Senior Business Analyst and twelve years in Financial Analysis and Expense Management. Prior to joining Thrivent in 1991, Cheri worked six years in public accounting. Cheri has an interest in business architecture, metrics and cost benefit analysis and hopes to capitalize on these interests within her role as a business analyst.
Cheri is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Public Accountants (WICPA). In addition to being a CPA, Cheri is a CumLaude graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with an undergraduate degree in Finance. She is an incorporating officer for WI BADD® and serves as the Treasurer. In prior years, Cheri has volunteered by serving as both a Director and Treasurer for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh-College of Business Alumni Association and serving as a member of the Financial and Audit Review Committee of the United Way Fox Cities.
Director of Accounting
As Director of Accounting, Larry Peterson reports to the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for the chapter budgeting, income/expense tracking and financial institution reconciliation.
Larry is a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Thrivent Financial currently supporting the business systems services area. Larry has 16+ years of experience in the Business Analysis field (combining Thrivent and Kimberly-Clark) including leading, managing and implementing large and small projects. He is also very active in the implementation of process/system improvements. Larry has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Supply Chain Management.
In his free time, Larry enjoys spending time with his family; ATV riding, traveling the country, camping, and attending his son’s events of band, soccer, Boy Scouts, cross country and High School Theater. Larry has served in the Boys Scouts of America for most of his adult life at various levels. In the Cub Scout program, Boy Scout Scoutmaster, District trainer and the Course Director for the Advance Adult Leadership Course titled “Wood Badge”. Larry is also very active in his church and serves in several volunteer roles there.
VP of Membership & Sponsorship
As the VP of Membership and Sponsorship, Shelby Hujet is responsible for the development and maintenance of a Chapter membership plan that assures continued growth through recruiting and partnering with major community employers. This position is also responsible for proactive solicitation and acquisition of sponsorship support in various forms, including financial, facilities and supplies.
Shelby is a Business Analyst in the IS department at Schreiber Foods and is primarily responsible for project work and support relating to purchasing, receiving and accounts payable. She also works with other areas of the organization on large projects performing analysis, gathering and managing requirements, testing and implementation. Prior to Schreiber Foods, Shelby was a Business Analyst at Humana Insurance for 7 years and worked on projects relating to Compliance, Commissions and Health Care Reform.
Shelby enjoys spending time with family, cooking and baking, and playing softball and volleyball.
Director of Membership
As Director of Membership, Kristi McGregor reports to the Vice President of Membership and Sponsorship and concentrates on increasing membership value. This position also focuses on the member value proposition, by creating and delivering programs that provide benefits to our membership and increase engagement within the Chapter. Expanding membership through development of relationships with existing Chapter members is also an essential responsibility.
Kristi is a Senior Business Analyst at Marshfield Clinic Information Services (MCIS), a healthcare information technology company that develops and supports applications used by healthcare professionals. Over the past 5+ years, she has led analysis efforts for replacing the proprietary electronic health record with new technology and architecture to optimize workflows and create sustainability. In addition she is the Practice Lead for the business analyst team at MCIS providing support to a team concerning best industry practices and process improvement as well as assisting team members with developing, mentoring and maintaining a customized career path.
Director of Sponsorship
As Director of Sponsorship, Mary Kloepping is primarily focused on growth and retention of our Chapter sponsors and reports to the VP of Membership and Sponsorship. Mary is responsible for sponsor recognition and proactively marketing the benefits of sponsorship throughout the region to organizations benefiting from the value that Business Analysts provide.
VP of Strategy
As the VP of Strategy, Cheri Thom provides leadership for the promotion and implementation of the Chapter's strategic initiatives. She is also responsible for creation and leadership of member committees to assist in fulfilling the Chapter's strategic initiatives.
Cheri is a Senior Solutions Analyst at Marshfield Clinic Information Services (MCIS), a healthcare information technology company that develops and supports applications used by physicians and staff. Over the last 10+ years, she has led analysis and testing efforts for small and large projects, focusing primarily on applications used by support staff. Cheri holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in MIS from University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
In her free time, Cheri enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, snowboarding, and getting outdoors. She also teaches several yoga classes.
VP of Technology & Communication
As the VP of Technology & Communication, Tammy Miller is responsible for the technologies that support Chapter communications and operations. She is responsible for the Chapter’s website maintenance and technical infrastructure, and the development and delivery of communications to membership and subscribers.
Tammy has been in the Information Technology field for 20+ years. She is currently employed at Oshkosh Corporation as a Principal Business Analyst in the Defense Segment. At Oshkosh, she supports Procurement and Quality by managing the project portfolio for these areas, eliciting requirements, documenting functional specifications, and is involved in the overall completion of projects. Tammy has a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science and is a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®).
Tammy enjoys spending time with her family, camping, boating, and spending time outdoors.
Director of Technology and Communication
As Director of Technology and Communication, Shawn Diamond reports to the Vice President of Technology and Communication. He helps maintain the technologies that support Chapter communications and operations. He also helps with the Chapter’s website maintenance and technical infrastructure, and the development and delivery of communications to membership and subscribers.
Shawn has been at Oshkosh Corporation since 1997 and currently holds a position of a Principal Business Analyst in IT. Shawn and has supported the Global Integrated Product Support Division (Parts, Service, Training, and Manuals) during its rapid growth since 2001. At Oshkosh, Shawn gathers and manages requirements for projects of all sizes. Shawn holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Geology and Astronomy from UW Madison and became a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) in 2012.
Shawn enjoys spending time with his family (three kids and two brothers) as well as biking, camping and traveling.
