Board of Directors
As President, Chris Petersen serves the role as chief executive officer for the Chapter and the Board. The President is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Chapter and for ensuring that the Board collectively contributes to the achievement of that strategy. In addition, the President plays a key role in promoting the purpose of the IIBA® to the community, developing alliances with other complementary organizations, and ensuring the long-term viability and sustainability of the Chapter. The President is a principal officer, the Chapter's chief executive officer and serves as chairperson to the Board of Directors.
Chris Petersen is a Business Analyst Consultant with a vision to build a consulting practice in the Fox Valley. He is dedicated to support the development of business analyst best practices for organizations and the business analyst professional. This drives his passion to continuously improve the methods of business analyst engagement on projects with a focus on delivering tangible value over perceived value.
He joined the IIBA and the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter because of the vast amount of resources available through online materials, education opportunities, chapter activities and especially the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals.
Chris and Amanda (wife) enjoy hiking and long car rides. Both are heavily engaged with American Legion Post 38, a veterans service organization.
As President-Elect, Jay Esty is responsible for the development and maintenance of a Chapter membership plan that assures continued growth through recruiting and partnering with major community employers. This position is also responsible for proactive solicitation and acquisition of sponsorship support in various forms, including financial, facilities and supplies.
Jay has held many different roles with various companies in the Information Technology field for 30+ years. He has worked in the banking, textile, food service, public transportation and healthcare industries and has lived in Maine, Massachusetts, Arizona and Wisconsin. Jay is currently employed with Navitus Health Solutions, a Pharmacy Benefit Management company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. At the Navitus Appleton campus, Jay serves as a Business Analyst II in the Information Technology’s Enterprise Initiatives group.
In his “spare” time Jay enjoys raising his grandchildren, woodworking, hiking, nature, model railroads, theatre and all things technical!
VP of Administration
As the VP of Administration, Bryan Moran is responsible for maintaining accurate records of chapter activities, business, and is the primary custodian of official chapter documents. Among other activities, this position is responsible for ensuring that accurate and sufficient documentation exists to meet legal requirements, and to enable authorized persons to determine when, how, and by whom the Board's business was conducted.
VP of Events
As the VP of Events, Lynn Ratkowski is responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of the Chapter programs. This includes developing programs for the Chapters bimonthly meetings, securing program speakers as well as scheduling meeting locations and dinners.
Lynn has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biological Conservation and is a Business Analyst for ProAmpac, where she works across all levels of the organization and may be involved in everything from defining strategy, to taking a leadership role by defining the goals and requirements for programs and projects or supporting continuous improvement in technology and process.
Lynn enjoys spending time with her family and watching her sons sporting events, traveling, kayaking, playing volleyball and bird banding for local migratory bird studies.
VP of Education and Certification
As VP of Education and Certification, Angie is responsible for the chapter's educational and professional development programs designed to increase the competence of the business analysis community, as well as promote and educate the membership on the IIBA’s business analysis certifications. This position is also responsible for promoting business analysis and developing business analysis skills at the chapter level by securing qualified speakers to deliver educational topics and programs at meetings, events, seminars, and workshops.
Angie is a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Thrivent Financial and currently supports the General Counsel’s Office. Angie has 8+ years of experience in the Business Analysis field including leading and managing large and small project, implementation of Business analysis process improvements, and holds a Green Belt in Continuous Improvement. Angie has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management and carries a Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance license with the State of Wisconsin.
Angie enjoys spending time with her family; Downhill skiing, water skiing, spending time on the water (when the Wisconsin winters let up), and spending time boating.
VP of Finance
As the VP of Finance, Cheri Schettl, CPA, is charged with the stewardship of the Chapter's finances and the management and reporting of the Chapter's financial position. This position keeps the board of directors informed of key financial events, trends and issues in addition to ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory reporting.
Cheri is a Senior Business Analyst at UnitedHealth Group. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group in 2012, she worked at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for twenty one years; nine years as a Senior Business Analyst and twelve years in Financial Analysis and Expense Management. Prior to joining Thrivent in 1991, Cheri worked six years in public accounting. Cheri has an interest in business architecture, metrics and cost benefit analysis and hopes to capitalize on these interests within her role as a business analyst.
Cheri is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Public Accountants (WICPA). In addition to being a CPA, Cheri is a CumLaude graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with an undergraduate degree in Finance. She is an incorporating officer for WI BADD® and serves as the Treasurer. In prior years, Cheri has volunteered by serving as both a Director and Treasurer for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh-College of Business Alumni Association and serving as a member of the Financial and Audit Review Committee of the United Way Fox Cities.
Director of Accounting
The Director of Accounting reports to the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for the chapter budgeting, income/expense tracking and financial institution reconciliation.

VP of Membership and Sponsorship
As the VP of Membership and Sponsorship, Shelby Hujet is responsible for the development and maintenance of a Chapter membership plan that assures continued growth through recruiting and partnering with major community employers. This position is also responsible for proactive solicitation and acquisition of sponsorship support in various forms, including financial, facilities and supplies.
Shelby is a Business Analyst in the IS department at Schreiber Foods and is primarily responsible for project work and support relating to purchasing, receiving and accounts payable. She also works with other areas of the organization on large projects performing analysis, gathering and managing requirements, testing and implementation. Prior to Schreiber Foods, Shelby was a Business Analyst at Humana Insurance for 7 years and worked on projects relating to Compliance, Commissions and Health Care Reform.
Shelby enjoys spending time with family, cooking and baking, and playing softball and volleyball.
Director of Membership
As the Director of Membership, Heather Ziarnik reports to the Vice President of Membership and Sponsorship and concentrates on increasing membership value. This position also focuses on the member value proposition, by creating and delivering programs that provide benefits to our membership and increase engagement within the Chapter. Expanding membership through development of relationships with existing Chapter members is also an essential responsibility.
Heather has been in the Information Technology field for 20+ years. Over the years, she has worked in the manufacturing, banking, and healthcare industries. Heather is currently a Senior Business Analyst at Navitus Health Solutions. She is responsible for gathering and managing requirements, creating and monitoring system testing with her customers, mentoring other business analysts on her team, and involved in various process improvement projects across the larger IT organization.
Heather enjoys spending time with her family, baking, reading, and spending time up north.
Director of Sponsorship
The Director of Sponsorship is primarily focused on growth and retention of our Chapter sponsors and reports to the VP of Membership and Sponsorship. This position is responsible for sponsor recognition and proactively marketing the benefits of sponsorship throughout the region to organizations benefiting from the value that Business Analysts provide.

VP of Strategy
As VP of Strategy, Shawn Diamond provides leadership for the promotion and implementation of the Chapter's strategic initiatives. This position is also responsible for creation and leadership of member committees to assist in fulfilling the Chapter's strategic initiatives.
Shawn has been at Oshkosh Corporation since 1997 and currently holds a position of a Principal Business Analyst in IT. Shawn and has supported the Global Integrated Product Support Division (Parts, Service, Training, and Manuals) during its rapid growth since 2001. At Oshkosh, Shawn gathers and manages requirements for projects of all sizes. Shawn holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Geology and Astronomy from UW Madison and became a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) in 2012.
Shawn enjoys spending time with his fiancé, family and friends as well as biking, and enjoying Wisconsin's roads, trees, parks and lakes.
VP of Technology and Communication
As the VP of Technology and Communication, Tammy Miller is responsible for the technologies that support Chapter communications and operations. This position is responsible for the Chapter’s website maintenance and technical infrastructure, and the development and delivery of communications to membership and subscribers.
Tammy has been in the Information Technology field for 20+ years. She is currently employed at Oshkosh Corporation as a Principal Business Analyst in the Defense Segment. At Oshkosh, she supports Procurement and Quality by managing the project portfolio for these areas, eliciting requirements, documenting functional specifications, and is involved in the overall completion of projects. Tammy has a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science and is a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®).
Tammy enjoys spending time with her family, camping, boating, and spending time outdoors.
Director of Technology and Communication
As Director of Technology and Communication, Nicolette Spear reports to the Vice President of Technology and Communication. This position helps maintain the technologies that support Chapter communications and operations. She also helps with the Chapter’s website maintenance and technical infrastructure, and the development and delivery of communications to membership and subscribers.
Nicolette has worked in Information Technology for 5 years. Prior to that, she worked in sleep medicine and clinical research. She currently works as a Software Engineer Consultant for Oshkosh Defense through Global Data Consultants in Greenville, Wisconsin. Nicolette led her team in adopting an Agile methodology and develops software solutions for teams she works with using .NET technologies. She also volunteers for Microsoft's TEALS program, teaching AP Computer Science Principles at Hortonville High School, and has led local Girl Scout meetings teaching Hour of Code to elementary aged students.
Nicolette enjoys spending time with her family, running, raising chickens, and traveling.
