About IIBA®

About Us

In July 2008, the spark was ignited when a few business analysts discussed the idea of forming an IIBA® chapter in Northeast Wisconsin. The underlying belief was that the area was in need of a common forum for business analysis professionals to network and share ideas, best practices and techniques. After a short discussion with the IIBA®, the group proceeded with plans to hold a kick-off in late September of that year. An initial broadcast was sent to all existing IIBA® members in the Northeast Wisconsin area, and the email soon became viral. Within days, an overwhelming response was received, which validated what was assumed from the very beginning.

Our general membership meets every two months for networking and learning events around Northeast Wisconsin.

Chapter Values

LEARN
  • We seek to evolve toward a common understanding of the business analysis profession, and advocate effective use of methodologies, resources, and tools through alignment to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®).
  • We strive to continually increase awareness, comprehension, and knowledge of business analysis skills and disciplines, and work to promote their application.
DEVELOP
  • We encourage diverse viewpoints and enable individuals to further the business analysis profession.
  • Volunteers are the most valuable means to accomplish the chapter’s goals and objectives.
NETWORK
  • We provide an open forum for connecting with others in the local business analysis community, and seek to foster and develop those relationships.
  • We believe the contribution of each individual is essential to our success.
  • We connect, learn, and share insights, and encourage each other to make a difference today and for the future.
